Color in the Flame: Enamel on Copper Pendants
Instructor: Holly Cooper

Click here for more information about Holly
In this new one day workshop with local artist Holly Cooper, the magic fusion of glass and metal is explored to produce colorful and expressive pendants and amulets.
We will use Thompson’s enamel on copper sheet that we cut ourselves. Then will fire with a torch, creating eye-catching wearable pendants. We’ll make interesting jewelry using a variety of techniques and materials including sgraffito, metal leaf, liquid enamels, and seed beads. We will also make our own findings for the necklaces from copper wire. The pieces we make will require basic jewelry making skills and tools. We will use torches supplied by the studio for the class session.
All skill levels welcomed!
Tuition: $225

Tools and materials will be provided.

PMC 101
Instructor: Lydia Johns
Learn the basics of working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). This class is an introduction to shaping, texturing and finishing pieces made with this fascinating material. Learn how to add small molded embellishments (like the dragonfly shown in the picture) to your creations.

Firing and kilns will be discussed during the class. While your pieces are firing, we will make small silicon molds for future embellishments, so bring small buttons or charms if you have them.

Your student kit includes 28g of PMC+ and a small package of two part silicon mold compound.
Tuition: $195
All tools & supplies provided.

This one day Saturday workshop will be April 14th, 2018, from 10am-4pm.
 Lunch provided by Blue Moon.

PMC Ring: Ring a Bling Bling!
Instructor: Lydia Johns
Come design your own ring using PMC+ and an incredible embeddable prong setting! In this one day class, Lydia Johns will teach you how to build a ring and then set a faceted stone on your creation. It is a whole lot easier than it looks.

We will cover building a basic ring, texturing your ring band, creating sunken settings, and making sure your ring fits after it is fired.

Each student will create at least one finished ring in class.

There is enough clay provided (28gr.) to make 3 rings like the ones pictured!
Tuition: $225.
All materials and tools provided.

This is a one day Saturday class. Lunch will be provided by Blue Moon.

PMC 102
Settings and Bails

We will begin working with setting CZ gems, applying and building bezels, and working with dimensional aspects – no basics will be taught.

Tuition: $195
(all tools & supplies provided)

Next Class: TBD
This is a one day workshop from 9am-4pm.

Resin Revelry
Instructor: Lydia Johns
Come enjoy a day of making fun jewelry using metals and Ice Resin with Lydia Johns! We will be taking found objects such as old keys, watch parts, odds and ends found at flea markets, sea shells, beads, glitter, and any number of small inclusions and making them into unique jewelry items.

We will be using Ice Resin…a fun way to encase your items in resin that does not smell and cures without the use of a UV light.

Lydia will bring small shells, words/sayings, scrap book paper, glitter, little glass balls, and an assortment of other small inclusion type items to share.
