Stained Glass Feathers | 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Get an introduction to copper foil stained glass construction while making a fun and colorful feather sun-catcher. In this 3 1/2 hour workshop, you will learn basic glass cutting, foiling and soldering. Then, for a unique extra touch, add a few colored Czech-glass beads if you like. This is also a good way to "try your hand" at stained glass to see if you want to advance on to the complete 6-week class. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.) All materials provided, with some beautiful glass to select from!

Art Strips Stained Glass | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

This stained glass art strip project is a great introduction to leaded stained glass construction, whether you are just interested in having fun making this single panel, or trying to decide if this is an art form that you wish to continue with.

In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn how to make simple glass cuts, frame in lead, and solder. You get to select from a large selection of 3" wide pieces of beautiful stained glass. Find all of your favorite colors! Your finished panel's length will be about 15"-20" long, and you will be shown how to solder hangers at the top so that you can display your talent with pride!

No experience required and all tools and supplies are provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Wednesday, April 10
Introduction to Fusing and Slumping | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

In this 4 week class, students will learn the basics of fusing glass together in a kiln and slumping it in molds to achieve various shapes. Instruction includes cutting glass, cutting circles, how a design can be realized with the use of different forms of glass, understanding the firing of a kiln and other cool techniques.

Students will design and complete 4 projects: a sampler tile, a 6" square plate, a night light or sun dangle, and the last project will selectable by each student.

Tuition: $195

(Tools are provided, as well as materials for the first night's project. Students can expect to spend approximately $100 for glass for the 3 remaining projects.)

Next class will be on Wednesdays, April 10th through May 1st, 2024, from 6:30-8:30pm.

Silver Clay Pendant and Earrings | 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Guest Instructor: Lydia Johns

Learn the basics of working with silver clay while creating a lovely earring and pendant set. This class is an introduction to shaping, texturing, firing and finishing pieces made with this fascinating material, which is actually very fine silver particles mixed with an organic binder.

These pieces look so complex, but are actually easy and fun! Each student will receive 20g of clay and the findings you need to finish up your projects. There will be many, many stamps available to use to customize your clay design. All tools and materials will be supplied for use in class and no experience required.

Stained Glass Kwirky Birds | 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Add a little springtime color to your window year-round with a whimsical suncatcher you’ve made yourself. In this 3 hour class, students will make one Kwirky Bird (choose from 4 styles), and learn to cut the glass, wrap it with lead, solder the pieces together and add that final kwirky touch of silliness with a decorative wire tail or top-notch. No experience needed. All tools and materials provided. (It is advised not to do stained glass while you are pregnant.)

Wednesday, May 8
Fused Glass Picture Frame | 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Instructor: Terry Mothersole

Memories of special occasions need to have a special frame. Make a fused glass picture frame to display that special 4"x6" photo of a recent wedding, Mother's Day or a graduation.

You will learn how to cut and nip pieces of fused glass, build your frame, and have it fused in a kiln. It will then be glued onto an acrylic standing display.

Lots of fun ways to decorate the glass frame with glass embellishments.

All glass and materials provided, and no previous fusing knowledge is needed.
